Mike - the only one of the new S.American chronologies I just sent
you that already appears in the ITRDB sets you already have is
ARGE30. You should remove this from the two ITRDB data sets, as the
new version should be different (and better for our purposes)
Cheers, Malcolm

Mike - you should find 62 files at ftp.ltrr.arizona.edu, directory
sys/home/outgoing/mhughes/mann/russia.

The file sib.dat contains the sequence numbers, three-letter site
code, longitude and latitude for the 61 chronologies from Vaganov et
al, comma-separated. As I typed thesein it would be wise to check
that the three letter code is found in the first line of the file
names sequence number.txt, e.g. 26.txt should be SOB, etc.

The other 61 files are hte chronologies in the wierd format we
discussed earlier.

Of these, I would certainly remove the following, as they are better
covered by the Yakutia series you already have from me:
18, KIL
19, ALL
20, INP
21, NAN

Now, we do not know what the internal replication is, but, at a wild
guess, I would hope that series starting by 1570 sould be reasonably
replicated by 1625. I would include these, and their file numbers
are:
26, 6, 31, 32, 41, 10, 11, 12, 15, 42, 44, 46, 47, 49, 50, 51, 52,
53, 16, 17, 22, 23, 25, 55, 56, 57, 59, 61.
For the present (1625 on) exercise I would exclude all the others.
Cheers, Malcolm
